My Next Job

The project My Next Job was funded by the Erasmus+ program through the project number 2023-3-DE04-KA152-YOU-000175990. Its aim was to provide young people from disadvantaged backgrounds with information and opportunities to develop new skills related to career guidance and counseling. Additionally, the project facilitated access to online resources to help participants prepare for job interviews and compile application documents. 

The project targeted 92 young participants from disadvantaged backgrounds across eight countries: Hungary, Bulgaria, North Macedonia, Germany, Czechia, Serbia, the Netherlands and Romania. 

The project addressed the following needs of disadvantaged youth: 

  • Expanding their knowledge on selecting suitable colleges or professions based on their personal competencies 
  • Improving access to national and international labor market information 
  • Learning how to complete a Europass profile and navigate job interviews, particularly online 
  • Providing opportunities for learning through Erasmus+ projects 
  • Acquiring knowledge, skills, and competencies in career guidance, counseling, and job application processes 

Project Objectives: 

  • O1: To enhance the knowledge of 96 disadvantaged youth from eight countries regarding educational and career paths, as well as online job application processes, during the project exchanges 
  • O2: To develop skills and competencies in job searching, interview techniques, and employment documentation for the 96 disadvantaged youth from eight countries 
  • O3: To facilitate the access of 96 youth from eight countries to online career guidance and counseling resources, including the EURES portal, both during and after the project 

Project Activities: 

  1. Preparatory Visit – Held in Brebu, Caraș-Severin, Romania, on April 26-27, 2024, with 13 participants who discussed and reviewed the upcoming project activities 
  1. First Youth Exchange – Took place from June 20-28, 2024, in Brebu, with 54 participants aged 20-30, including 47 young people, 6 group leaders, and 1 facilitator 
  1. Second Youth Exchange – Held from August 10-18, 2024, in Brebu, with 54 participants aged 15-19, including 45 young people, 8 group leaders, and 1 facilitator 

Project Results: 

  • 92 young participants from partner countries improved their knowledge and skills for job searching 
  • 8 short films were created to help young people explore career options and navigate the job market 
  • 8 employment-focused activities were implemented at the local level in the eight partner countries to promote youth employment
